I’ve been having lots of talks with my eldest brother about the fixed gear freestyle scene. Telling him about how its growing and popular all around the world. That stores are springing out of no where selling bike parts and their own custom frames. Then I mentioned that It would be cool to own a shop and do what all the major sponsors are doing. He said back to me, “Why not start your own company then?”. He majors in International business, and manages his own life insurance company. I help at the office from time to time and he’s always pushing me to utilize my skills and knowledge that I have to make something and benefit me.

My sister in law works for an international shipping company that transports almost everywhere in the world, mainly in Asian countries. So basically I have a connection in logistics because we can ship things for cheap since she works for the company. Coincidentally, one of the CEOs in china owns his own piping/welding company as well.

My brother and my sister in law are talking with him to see if he’s interested in this. If everything pulls through, I’m starting my own company from the ground up. The thing about it is that I’m scared to fail and waste money. My brother said, “If it doesn’t work, then you’ll learn from your mistakes. That way, when you venture into another business opportunity you will know what to do”. I’m still daydreaming about having my own shop/warehouse, selling my own bikes/parts, filimg my sponsored riders,making shop tees, working booths at events. But hey, if this pulls through maybe I won’t have to be dreaming anymore.

Adding to this, not only going to benefit me but I’m going to bring all my friends with me if this does grow into something big.
